General elections in Honduras: UNIORE virtual meeting

San José, Costa Rica. On September 8, 2021, in representation of the Inter-American Union of Electoral Bodies, its Executive Secretariat, the Center for Electoral Promotion and Assistance (IIHR/CAPEL), held a virtual meeting with electoral authorities and staff of member bodies of the regional group.

During the meeting, Ana Paola Hall, President of the National Electoral Council of Honduras (CNE), gave a report on the context of the general elections of November 28, as well as the progress and retrogressions in the preparation of the elections. She was accompanied by her colleagues Rixi Moncada and Kelvin Aguilar.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  

The authorities and staff of the member bodies, such as José Scandiucci, Superior Electoral Tribunal of Brazil; María Elena Wapenka, Superior Tribunal of Electoral Justice of Paraguay; Osman Flores, Supreme Electoral Tribunal of Bolivia, and Osman Valdés, Electoral Tribunal of Panama, were accompanied by the CAPEL delegation: José Thompson, Executive Director; Sofía Vincenzi, Coordinator; and Tasheena Obando and Andrea Tercero, international advisors.
