On June 24, 2021, Eduardo Bertoni, IIHR Alternate Representive and Coordinator of the Regional Office for South America, was one of the speakers at the inauguration of the second virtual roundtable of the Center for Global Development, which discussed rules for transborder data flows, digital policies and their consequences for economic development.

Others participating in that part of the program were Melissa Omino, Director of Research of the Center of the Right to Intellectual Property and Information Technology of the University of  Strathmore, and Deborah Elms, Founder and Executive Director of the Asian Trade Center.
