Mexico City. During the month of July 2021, a series of meetings took place so that the representatives of the research centers supported by the Fund to Support the Electoral Observation (FAOE) -an initiative of the National Electoral Institute of Mexico (INE), administered by the Center for Electoral Promotion and Assistance (IIHR/CAPEL)- could receive the preliminary conclusions of the research on the federal electoral process that culminated in the elections of June 6.
The participating centers were: the Colegio de México, the Legal Research Institute of the Autonomous University of Chiapas; the University Studies Program on Democracy, Justice and Society (PUEDJS) and the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Science and the Humanities, both of the National Autonomous University of Mexico; the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of the Technological Institute and the Superior Studies of the Occident (ITESO) and the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM).
In addition to the representatives of those six centers, also participating were the experts María de los Ángeles Fernández Ramil and Simón Pachano and Luis Mario Rodríguez (members of the International Evaluation Committee (CEI) and Salvador Romero Ballivián, Technical Secretary FAOE. After the representatives made their presentations, they received the contributions of the experts, which will doubtlessly serve to strengthen their final reports.
