IIDH attended the Plenary Meeting of the Committee of the Convention for the Protection of Individuals with regard to Automatic Processing of Personal Data (Council of Europe´s Convention 108).

For the first time the Inter American Institute of Human Rights -IIDH- attended the 41st Plenary Meeting of the Committee of the Council of Europe´s Convention 108. The IIDH publicly thanked the Members of the Committee for its recently acceptance of the IIDH´s request to be an Observer of the meetings of the Committee.

Eduardo Bertoni, Representative and Coordinator of the IIDH Office for South America reaffirmed during the first session the IIDH´s commitment to help the Committee in its work in all the matters in which the Institute had experience.
