Conclusion of cycle on journalism and human rights sponsored by the IIHR

Montevideo, Uruguay. An August 18, 2017 specialized workshop on covering health from the perspective of human rights concluded the cycle on journalism and human rights, which was held under the auspices of the IIHR Regional Office for South America. The cycle consisted of six weekly sessions of four hours each for 50 journalists and specialists in the region. The sessions, which began on July 14, 2017, focused on health, education, violence, inclusion and migration. Among the special invitees were Carlos Dada (El Faro, El Salvador) and Sol Amaya (La Nación, Argentina).

Also participating in the cycle were the National Institution of Human Rights and Ombudsman (INDDHH), the United Nations System in Uruguay (SNU), the Center for Training of the Spanish Cooperation in Montevideo (CFCE) and the Uruguayan Agency of International Cooperation (AUCI).
