San Salvador, El Salvador. The on-site week of the Course on Strategic Litigation and Legislative Lobbying for Defenders of Sexual and Reproductive Rights took place November 18-20, 2019. The Course was based on legal arguments, strategic litigation and legislative lobbying by means of an analysis of the emblematic cases of sexual and reproductive rights through case studies that utilized the knowledge and professional experience of the participants in order to develop concrete tools for strategic litigation and legislative lobbying.
Participating were representatives of civil society, academia, public institutions and justice operators who reinforced their abilities to create tools, methodologies and strategies to contribute to the defense, protection and guarantee of the sexual and reproductive rights of women, as well as access to justice in that field.
The Course, made possible by the financial support of the Government of Sweden, was given by an IIHR team of specialists comprised of Ariadna Tovar Ramírez, Ana Cristina Vera Sánchez and Larissa Arroyo Navarrete and was coordinated by Evelyn Fernández and Larissa Segura, of the IIHR.
