Oaxaca de Juárez, Mexico. On June 20, 2018, José Thompson spoke on “State obligations in forming public policies for the protection and guarantee of human rights.” This activity, organized by the Coordination for Attention to Human Rights of the Government of Oaxaca (CADH), was part of the cycle of conferences that closed the “Focus on human rights in public policies” diploma course.

With this lecture, the course participants and those in attendance learned of the need and importance of the transversilization of human rights in the public policies of all governmental institutions, federal and local, at all levels. These rights-based policies must promote, through programs, projects and actions of all kinds, the equality of all persons, without discrimination and respectful of their dignity and their rights.
