UNIORE mission observes election to judiciary in Bolivia

  La Paz, Bolivia. A mission of the Inter-American Union of Electoral Bodies (UNIORE) participated in a program of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal of Bolivia (TSE) regarding the election of high authorities of the Judicial Branch and of the Plurinational Constitutional Tribunal. The mission took place November 30 to December 5, 2017 and the election was held on December 3.

  Comprising the mission were magistrates or staff of the following UNIORE countries: Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. On election day, members of the mission visited polling places in La Paz, El Alto, Cochabamba, Santa Cruz and Tarija. On December 4, it presented a report to the TSE with its main observations.

Representing the Center of Electoral Promotion and Assistance, the Executive Secretariat of UNIORE, were Tasheena Obando and Andrea Tercero.
