San José and Heredia, Costa Rica. From April 3 to 6, 2018, Jorge Padilla, Coordinator of the IIHR Center of Resources and Studies in Education in Human Rights, and Dina Rodríguez, expert in the area, attended the inauguration and first meeting of the “Values and Education in Human Rights” project, the creation of which they had participated in as expert advisors.
This initiative, financed by DAAD, had the support of the Institute of Educational Research of the National University and University of Costa Rica and Osnabrück University of Germany. Also attending were representatives of the German Institute of Human Rights and of a Brazilian organization, Novamérica, whose delegate spoke on “Education in Human Rights: Pedagogies of the South.” The next meeting will take place in September of this year in Osnabrück.
