San José, Costa Rica. The Interdisciplinary Seminar (Public and Private Sectors) of the Socialization of the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the presentation of a relevant structural analytic tool took place on July 16-17 and 23-24, 2020. The event was coordinated by Larissa Segura of the IIHR.
Prof. Humberto Cantú Rivera, the creator of the tool, explained how it worked with respect to access to the mechanisms of judicial, non-judicial and non-State reparations in relation to the Guiding Principles.

There were 141 participants – 48 from Guatemala and 93 from Honduras – representing civil society, academia and State institutions. Group sessions were held to identify progress and challenges in applying the Principles, using the Tool for the structural analysis of the international obligations of States in the context of business activities. There was also a roundtable on the subject led by Mr. Middlethorp.
