San José, Costa Rica. On November 26, 2020, as part of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the IIHR and the 35th anniversary of the National Commission for Improving the Administration of Justice of Costa Rica (CONAMAJU), the two entities presented the publication “Human Rights and the Constitutional Chamber” at the XXXVIII Interdisciplinary Course on Human Rights.
Mayrem Vargas (CONAMAJ), Luis Ardón (staff lawyer of the Constitutional Chamber) and Jorge Padilla (IIDH) were in charge of the event.
This publication is part of the series “Facilitating justice in the community,” a pedagogical tool for judicial facilitators of the Open Justice program of CONAMAJ
Participating in the activity were the IIHR Executive Director, José Thompson, who welcomed the Course participants and invited guests; Román Solís Zelaya, Magistrate Coordinator of CONAMAJ, and Fernando Castillo, President of the Constitutional Chamber of Costa Rica.
