Civil society - State

In the interaction between organizations of civil society and public bodies, as a specific and unique phenomenon of the social and political development of each country in the Americas, there exist tensions and rapprochements between both sides that have an impact –positive or negative- on the fulfillment, protection and promotion of human rights.

Within this framework, the IIHR, with its more than thirty years of experience, is a recognized interlocutor between State institutions and civil society, creating opportunities of dialogue that are valued at the regional political level and legitimized by both sides.
